Biography
As Team Manager and a vital pillar within Velocity One Motorsport, Sam Defoort plays an indispensable role alongside a longstanding personal friendship with founder Tibo Tierenteyn. Combining years of real-world karting experience with a sharp, analytical mindset, Sam brings structure, risk management, and strategic foresight from his professional career as a Finance Consultant directly into the high-pressure world of virtual endurance racing.
His background in competitive karting forged a strong understanding of racecraft, car control, and split-second decision-making. Outside of his professional career and simulator duties, he maintains a strict physical discipline through regular fitness training, recognizing that stamina and mental focus are vital for surviving grueling endurance stints behind the wheel of a race car.
